Community support and guidance

IOMEgold provides support and guidance for not for profit organisations and community groups.

How we help:

The Young Directors Scheme is a joint venture between Naturezones charity and IOMEgold. The scheme has been incorporated into the National Citizenship Service on the Isle of Wight. The scheme is about getting young people involved in charities while giving them the guidance in good governance that so many adults never get. It allows participants to discover where to find information to help them become a better Trustee/ Director.

More information about the Young Directors Scheme and copies of the workbook can be found here.

Over 100 16-18yr olds took part in the YD Scheme this year. They were awarded certificates at the graduation ceremony on Saturday 9th September at Cowes Yacht Haven.

As a natural progression from the Young Directors' Scheme, IOMEgold has developed a similar workbook entitled 'Governance for Grown ups' for adults who want to now more about good governance and where to find relevant information.
